Our physical location is near the exact center of
Colorado. The local artisans and mother nature have
combined to create many of the gifts featured on our
web site.
Circumstances presented themselves and this year we
were able to acquire the retail store located in Hartsel,
Colorado. For those who are able to ski in Breckenridge,
if you fly into Colorado Springs, you are invited
to stop at the Bayou Salado in Hartsel as we are located
on Hwy 24 at the west end of town. Coffee is always
hot.
As you see from our product line, my husband is a
rock hound. Living here in the middle of the mineral
belt in Colorado we only have to walk a hundred yards
to find specimens. For the serious collector, please

If you want killer specimens of amazonite, smoky quartz,
rhodocrosite, aquamarine or other local minerals,
we know sources for them all. Local agates including
a beautiful South Park Blue Agate are being set in
silver by Dave who has set stones in silver for over
30 years. The Hartsel Blue Barite claim is owned by
Dave and myself so if you want excellent specimens
please contact us. We have hundreds. We know many
of the mine owners and prospectors of the claims for
other minerals and can get you some personalized specimens.
For over 30 years I have worked in customer service
and have kept Dave's books. We have managed fish hatcheries,
ranches and small businesses. We are of the old school
where service counts so you can feel comfortable ordering
from Rocky Mountain Gifts and Rocks.
Our home is located in a high mountain valley that
is bounded by Pikes Peak on the east and the Misquito
Range on the west. to the south we can see the Collegiate
Range and Mt. Antero where we collect aquamarine in
natural crystal form. If you wish to rock hunt in
Colorado, we can refer you to local guides or assist
you ourselves.
